1-13-2026 Garbage Collection Update
Due to extremely cold temperatures hovering near –40°F this morning, Public Works garbage crews will begin trash collection later in the day, once temperatures warm slightly and it is safe for crews and equipment to operate.
Our intention is to complete all garbage routes today, though residents should expect delays. If crews are unable to complete all routes today, any remaining garbage will be collected tomorrow in conjunction with the normal scheduled route.
Forecasted temperatures are expected to improve, and we anticipate these cold-weather impacts will diminish over the coming days.
In the meantime, residents are reminded to secure and cover garbage to deter animal interference.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work to keep our crews safe and equipment operational during extreme cold conditions.
