Step into the heart of Fairbanks! The City of Fairbanks invites downtown businesses and organizations to join the Golden Heart Step Up Challenge, a friendly competition celebrating our walkable Golden Heart City from June 1 to August 31.

How to Participate

Sign up your business or organization
Encourage employees to take part and track their steps
Submit your team’s total steps—and fun photos of your employees out walking—to see how your workplace stacks up and to earn recognition on the City’s Facebook page

Whether you're strolling to meetings, taking a walking break, or getting your team outside for some fresh air, every step helps build a more vibrant, connected downtown. Lace up, team up, and let’s walk the Golden Heart together!

Fill out this form to join as an organization participating in the Golden Heart Step Up Challenge! Each month, the City will reach out for your total number of participating employees, the total steps logged, and the average steps per employee. The City will also share fun downtown events that make great step‑logging destinations and help bring our community together. Plus, the City will email you a digital flyer you can post to spotlight your business as an official challenge participant. By joining in, you’re helping strengthen a community where everyone’s steps — and everyone’s contributions — are valued as we move forward together as one.
