Fairbanks Diversity Council
About Us
The Fairbanks Diversity Council (FDC) was created on March 10, 2014 when the Fairbanks City Council adopted Ordinance No. 5939. The FDC is composed of 11 volunteer citizens of the City of Fairbanks and the Fairbanks North Star Borough, the City Mayor, a City Council Member, and the City Human Resources director. More information including the current roster of the FDC can be viewed by visiting www.fairbanksalaska.us/bc and clicking on "Fairbanks Diversity Council." The FDC serves to advise the City Council and the Borough Assembly and to address concerns in the areas of employment, public accommodations, police policies, transportation, housing, public awareness and sensitivity, and other subjects deemed appropriate by the mayors or governing bodies.
