Impound and City Surplus Auction

Preview Day and Pre-Bidder Registration:

Join us on the Friday before each auction for a comprehensive preview and pre-bidder registration. Inspection hours are from 10 AM to 4 PM. A catalog detailing the items available for auction will be accessible both on inspection day and on the City website three days prior to the auction. This is your opportunity to closely examine items and prepare for bidding.

Auction Day:

Auctions will take place on Saturdays, starting promptly at 10 AM, at the City of Fairbanks Public Works facility, located at 2121 Peger Road. The auction entrance will open at 9 AM through the Davis Road gate for last-minute inspections and registration. Clearly marked signs will guide you to the entrance and parking areas. Please note that all payments must be finalized on the day of the auction, no later than 4:30 PM.

After the Auction:

Successful bidders will have designated times to collect their items. Staff will be available to assist on the Sunday following the auction from 10 AM to 2 PM, and on Monday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Please be aware that these removal times will be strictly enforced unless alternative arrangements have been made and approved by the Public Works director.

Any items not collected by 4 PM on the Monday following the auction will be considered forfeited and impounded, with no refunds issued.

Important Notice:

For the safety and convenience of all participants, pets, backpacks, and other types of bags are not permitted in the inspection area during the preview on Friday or during the auction on Saturday.
