Impound and City Surplus Auction

Preview Day and Pre-Bidder Registration

Join us the Friday before each auction for a full preview of all items and early bidder registration.

• Inspection Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Location: City of Fairbanks Public Works – 2121 Peger Road (Enter through the Davis Road gate)

• Item Catalog: Available online 3 days before the auction and onsite during the preview.

• Purpose: Preview inventory, inspect items up close, verify item conditions, and complete bidder registration.

This preview allows participants to make informed decisions and prepare for auction day.

Auction Day

Auctions are held on Saturdays at 10:00 AM at the Public Works facility.

• Gate Opens: 9:00 AM (via the Davis Road entrance)

• Last-Minute Inspection & Registration: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

• Auction Start Time: 10:00 AM

• Payment Deadline: All purchases must be paid in full by 4:30 PM on auction day

Directional signage will be in place to guide visitors to the entrance and parking areas. Payments made after the deadline cannot be accepted, unless otherwise coordinated directly with the auctioneer.

After the Auction

Successful bidders will have specific windows to collect their purchases:

• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Staff will be on-site to assist with item loading during these times.

Strict Pickup Policy:
Items not collected by 4:00 PM Monday will be considered forfeited and impounded, with no refunds issued. Alternate pickup arrangements must be approved in advance by the Public Works Director.

Important Notices

For the safety and convenience of all participants:

• No pets

• No backpacks

• No bags of any kind

These restrictions apply during the Friday preview and Saturday auction.
