City Ambassador Program
The City of Fairbanks is launching a new City Ambassador Program, designed to create a welcoming, vibrant, and safe downtown experience for residents and visitors. As a volunteer ambassador, you’ll spend two‑hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM, walking the downtown core, greeting business owners, offering helpful information to tourists, keeping watchful awareness of activity, and connecting people with resources when needed.
No special experience is required—just a positive attitude and a willingness to engage. All volunteers will receive training on community response teams and de‑escalation tips, along with program resources and identification. More information about the training schedule will follow.
The goal for the duration of this program is from June 1st - Sept 6th.
