Master Plumber/Mechanical Exam

The Plumbing Contractor Qualification (Master Plumber) License Examination will be a written multiple-choice test and is based on the City of Fairbanks currently-adopted appendices and amendments to the 2018 editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Mechanical Code, and the 2020 edition of the Fairbanks Administrative Code.

An application and registration fee of $200 is required to be completed and paid at the Fairbanks Building Department no later than 4 p.m. 1 week prior to the exam date.
